Your Unpixel key is in more places than you might think: the purchase email, any Mac where Unpixel is still activated, and the customer portal of Dodo Payments, the store that handles Unpixel’s sales. Start with whichever is closest to hand.
Search your email for the purchase message from Dodo Payments, which sells Unpixel, and check spam too. On a Mac where Unpixel is still activated, Settings → License shows the key: click the eye to reveal it or the copy button to copy it. Otherwise, sign in to the customer portal with your purchase email, or email support to have it sent again.
Search your email
The key arrives in the purchase email from Dodo Payments, sent to the address you typed at checkout.
- Search your mail for Dodo Payments, Unpixel or license key.
- Look in Junk or Spam, and in any tabs or folders your mail service sorts messages into, such as Promotions or Updates.
- Check archived mail too. A search usually covers it, but some apps only search the inbox unless you ask.
The confirmation page you saw right after paying showed the key as well. If that tab is still open, the key is there.
Bought with a different email address?
The email went to the address entered at checkout, which isn’t always the one you use every day. Try a work address, an older personal account, or an email alias. If someone bought Unpixel for you, the key went to them; ask them to forward the email.
Copy it from an activated Mac
If Unpixel still works on one of your Macs, the key is in its settings:
- Right-click the Unpixel icon in the menu bar and choose Settings….
- Click License. The License key row shows the key with all but its last few characters hidden.
- Click the eye button to show it, or the copy button next to it to put it on the clipboard.
If you’ve just deactivated a Mac, the key stays visible on that screen, with its copy button, until you quit Unpixel.
Use the customer portal
Dodo Payments runs a customer portal where buyers can see their purchases, download invoices and look up the license keys tied to them.
- Open it from Lost your key? in the footer of this website. In Unpixel, click Where’s my key? under the key field: it says where your key was shown and sent, and links to the portal or to support.
- Enter the email address you used to buy and request an access link.
- Open the sign-in email from Dodo Payments. According to Dodo’s documentation, the link works for 24 hours.
- Your purchase is listed with its license key.
Ask support
If none of that works, email support from the address you bought with, or mention that address in your message. Include the order reference from your receipt or the confirmation page if you have it, and the key is sent back by email. Never send card details; support doesn’t need them. The support address is in the box below, and the Email Support button behind Where’s my key? opens a new message to it.
Keep it safe
You’ll need the key again for a new Mac, or after erasing this one. Save it in your password manager or a private note now, while you have it.
Keep it to yourself, too. Anyone who has the key can use up the Macs it covers, which would block your own activation. Reinstalling Unpixel on the same Mac doesn’t need the key at all; the activation is kept in your keychain.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my key again after reinstalling Unpixel?
Not on the same Mac. The activation stays in your keychain, so a reinstalled copy is activated straight away. You need the key on a new Mac, or after erasing this one.
The customer portal didn’t send me a sign-in email. Why?
The portal shows the same confirmation whether or not the address belongs to a customer, so a missing email usually means a different address was used at checkout. Try your other addresses, then check spam.
Can support tell me my key over the phone or chat?
Support works by email only. Write from the address you bought with, so the key goes back to the address on the order.
